My roommate came to lift with me again, he even told me me to wake him up if he wasn’t up by the time I was going to go to the gym. I guess he’s serious about lifting this summer and trying to cut some weight which is a good thing, I hope he’s able to do that. I never realized how competitive I can be until my roommate started lifting with me. If he felt up to putting weight on the bar for his lifts I had to put weight on too. I did my deadlifts a little bit differently today. For a long time I’d just being pulling triples and increasing weight till I couldn’t pull triples and then I’d pull singles until I hit one that felt like a grind. Pulling five triples at 300 was much harder than what I used to do for deadlifts. Towards the end I could feel my grip weakening so I’ll need to work on that.
